Armadillo Christmas Bazaar
& Mozart’s Co ee Light Show,
Dinner at Scholz BBQ - NEW!
Tuesday, December 17, $32 pp
Depart SCPL 4:15 p.m.; Return 10 p.m.
The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar
is an iconic Austin event! Art fair and music
festival rolled into one, it’s been the city’s fa-
vorite scene for holiday shopping for 38 years
– imaginative handmade gifts, purses and
fine art ranging from sophisticated to funky.
With more than 160 artisans exhibiting their latest works,
there is something for everyone plus live music.
After shopping, we will head to Mozart’s Coffee on Lake Austin
for their one-of-a-kind Light Show set to music. This 15 minute
show will have you toe tapping and smiling. We will be seated
outside on picnic benches so bring a coat, gloves and a hat to
stay warm. You’ll have time to wander inside Mozart’s, grab
a cup of coffee or try one of their famous desserts.
Have I forgotten about dinner? Of course not! We’re headed to
another Austin icon, Scholz Garten, operating since 1866, for a
great BBQ dinner. We’ll feast on a two meat dinner of brisket
and turkey with their fabulous potato salad, cole slaw, pinto
beans and the trimmings. And the best is dessert – Amy’s
Mexican vanilla ice cream.
Ticket cost includes transportation, show admission and din-
ner. Deadline to purchase tickets is December 9.

Concert with Dinner at Carmello’s - NEW!
Sunday, December 29, $95 pp
Depart SCPL 4:30 p.m.; Return 10:30 p.m.
Let’s go to the Palmer
Events Center in Austin and enjoy an evening
of music featuring Debby Boone’s
Reflections
of Rosemary
. This performance is an intimate,
deeply heartfelt tribute to her late mother-in-
law, legendary singer Rosemary Clooney. The cabaret-style
seating will enhance the show – a touching musical portrait
filled with a collection of standards chosen for their significance
in Debby Boone’s life with the legendary Clooney. “I wanted
to select songs that would give an insight into Rosemary from
a family perspective, and from the more than 30 years that I
spent with her,” says Boone.
Begin your evening with dinner at Carmello’s Ristorante Ital-
iano with a delicious house salad, followed by the combination
plate of lasagna, rigatoni with veal meatballs, tortellini with
cream sauce, mushrooms, peas and homemade Italian sausage.
This wonderful meal is complemented with the tiramisu and
chocolate cake for dessert. Coffee, tea, tax and gratuities are
included. This restaurant has a romantic ambience and was
originally built in the 1870’s.
