Ceremony is a special event to honor all of
our veterans for their dedicated service to
our country. This year’s event will be held
on Monday, November 11 at 11 a.m. More
details will be announced in the November Sun Rays. Re-

crush can make anyone feel young again—
even a widower named Ralph. On an ordi-
nary day in a routine life, Ralph decides to
take a different path on his daily walk, one that leads him to
an unexpected second chance at love. Relying on a renewed
boyish charm, Ralph attempts to woo the elegant, but distant
Carol. Defying Carol’s reticence—and his lonely sister’s jeal-
ousy—Ralph embarks on the trip of a lifetime, and regains
a happiness that seemed all but lost.
The Last Romance
is a
heart-warming comedy about the transformative power of love.
The play is presented “in the round” and runs five consecutive
nights in the Atrium, November 12-16; tickets $10 with no
reserved seating. Directed by Geoff Martin.

No need to travel for Thanksgiving celebra-
tions. It’s a lot of work tomake Thanksgiving
dinner, so this year leave the ‘day before’
cooking to Simply Great Cuisine with a full-
service buffet of traditional turkey, stuffing,
mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry
sauce, rolls, and your choice of pumpkin, pecan or apple pie.
Tea and water will be served. At 12 p.m. we will show the

. A starlit cast, including Rob-
ert Downey Jr., Dylan McDermott, Holly Hunger and Anne
Bancroft, lends acting expertise to a movie that explores the
stressors of gathering with one’s family during the holidays.

Brooks Crossing – Country Bluegrass

Brooks Crossing is an American Country and
Bluegrass female gospel group based out of Ber-
tram, Texas. This family group of performers
consists of Misty Richard Crow, Brandi Richard
Brizendine and Ashley Richard Amidon – all of
whom are sisters and daughters of Don and Linda Richard. It
is evident that the girls grew up in an environment surrounded
by music which included Country, Bluegrass, Rockabilly, Folk,
Contemporary, and Gospel. Brooks Crossing was honored to be
nominated for Bluegrass Artist of the Year in 2012 through the
I.C.G.M.A. They will perform a variety of country, bluegrass
and gospel songs in our ballroom.
17th Annual Hill Country
Arts & Crafts Fair

Sunday, November 10, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
This craft fair is host to Texas and surrounding
area artists who hand-make their goods. Are you
looking for unique one-of-a-kind presents for the
holidays? Come to the Arts & Crafts Fair for an
easy walk-through of our craft centers, where the Creative Clay
& China, Fabric & Fiber, Photography, Stained Glass and Visual
Arts Clubs have astounding crafts for amazing prices. Then stroll
through the Ballroom, where over 50 exhibitors are set up for you to
peruse and shop. You’ll also find many exhibitors stationed outside
in the parking lot and on the back patio of the Social Center! This
event is only once a year. Be sure to mark your calendar!
