The exterior paint “color books,” located
in the Community Standards Office in
the Billiards Building, are also located
online at
(see below for
specific instructions).
Since monitors and/or printers may dis-
play colors differently, in cases where
you require an exact match, please visit
our office to look at the books in person.
The website will help you find the “Se-
ries” to which your home belongs, if you
know the model name of your house.
Within each Series are a number of
schemes from which to choose. When
repainting a different color, you won’t
need to stay within a scheme; however,
the schemes were designed by profes-
sionals hired by the Developer.
If you choose to repaint the same color(s),
there is no need for Modification Com-
mittee approval. If you are changing
your exterior paint colors, a printed
Form B-2 is available in the Library or
at the Community Standards Office for
you to pick up. You can also download
a pdf file that can be printed and filled
out, or you can fill in the form online
(using any browser but Firefox). If you
are using Firefox, you can “Save As” on
the form that comes up when you choose
Form B-2 and save it to your desktop.
Once saved to your desktop, the fill-in
function will work.
TO FIND FORM B-2:
1. Log onto
2. At the top of the page, choose Site

3. Under the letter “D” choose Docu-
ments, Forms, Guidelines

When planning the new colors for your
house, keep in mind that the garage door
and stucco should be the same color, so
the garage door doesn’t become a “fea-
ture” of your house. The term “trim”
refers to the fascia and columns, and
“accent” refers to the front door, shut-
ters, and “pop-outs” like the gable vents.
The paint colors must be used for their
designated purpose.
Remember, cottage and custom homes
are special situations and do not fall
within the above guidelines.
Water Matters
Submitted by Carlton M Mathis,
Water Management
I have been get-
ting a lot of ques-
tions lately re-
garding watering
days. Here is in-
formation taken
from the City of
Georgetown’s Water Services web
page, water.georgetown.org:
•
Odd addresses:
Tuesday and/
or Thursday and/or Saturday
•
Even addresses:
Wednesday
and/or Friday and/or Sunday
• No sprinkler or irrigation system
use on Mondays.
•
Recommended
◦ Water only two days per week
according to the odd/even
schedule
◦ Avoid watering from 10 a.m. to
7 p.m. or in windy conditions
The city also provides an Aqua Alert
system, the information for which is
also linked on the web page listed
above. Recently, the city installed
new water meters throughout Sun
City Texas that interface with the
city’s monitoring system. By joining
the Aqua Alert program, you can re-
ceive notification via email when your
water consumption achieves certain
thresholds, which you can predeter-
mine. This is an extremely useful tool
to promote water conservation.
WATER SAVING TIPS:
• Put food coloring into your toilet
tank. If it seeps into the toilet
bowl without flushing, you have
a leak. Fixing the leak can save
up to 1,000 gallons per month.
• When running a bath, plug the tub
before turning on the water; then,
adjust temperature as the tub fills.
• Collect water fromyour roof to wa-
ter your garden or potted plants.
• Designate one glass for your
drinking water, or refill a water
bottle; this will cut down on the
number of glasses to wash.

COPs’ Trac Safety Town Hall
Wednesday, November 13, 9 a.m., SCB
There is not a day that goes by that we
do not see an unsafe or illegal act on
the roads of Sun City Texas. Speeding,
rolling stops, no turn signals, etc.―and
that’s just the golf carts. We see pedes-
trians walking in the dark without re-
flective clothing, bicycles on sidewalks,
and then there are the cars...This Town
Hall is to remind us
all
that we must be
aware of the safety rules and obey the
traffic laws to keep us and our pets safe.
The Town Hall will touch on special is-
sues we have as seniors and how they af-
fect us, and the rules of the road. Speak-
ers will include representatives from the
Georgetown Police Department, Ennis
Golf Carts, AARP, and other clubs and
organizations within Sun City Texas.
