ing concert and join in the singing of some
of our beloved patriotic songs..
Singers, please note the rehearsal
on June 10 will be held at the Cowan
Creek Amenity Center rather than
the Social Center Ballroom.
The Singers will be on hiatus after the July
concert until August 26 when rehearsals
for the Christmas concert will begin. New
members are welcome! All that is required
is a love of singing, attendance at most
rehearsals and the annual dues of $10. If
you would like to sing in the Christmas
concert, please attend the first or second
rehearsal, Tuesday, August 26 or Septem-
ber 2, at 6:30 p.m.
Dulcimers - a SIG of Singers
We are busily presenting a variety of gigs to
local schools and nursing homes. We meet
every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon and
every Tuesday from6-8 p.m. in Rooms 3 &

Dulcimer Picker Practice is every Thurs-
day in June from 1-3 p.m. in the Andice

As one of the few spectator sports in Sun
City Texas, we invite you to come watch,
come play, come have some fun….at beau-
tiful Del Webb Field! The new grandstand
cover makes watching the games more
comfortable and enjoyable.
The summer season is underway and
runs through July 31. Games are onMon-
days and Thursdays at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m.,
noon, and 1:30 p.m. There are practice
and pick up games every Tuesday and
Fridays at 10 a.m.
There is also a very active, self supporting
traveling team, the Sun City Warriors,
for the more competitive player.
Annual dues are $12, with an additional
$10 for each season. Once you sign up you
will be assigned a team. Gals and guys

The Solos Club is open to all Sun City
Texas residents. Our goal is to have a
good time by participating in social,
intellectual and sporting activities, in-
cluding bowling, golf, adventure group,
card games, day trips, book clubs, wine
tastings, etc.
The 2014 Solos dues are $20 and may be
paid at the Sun City Texas website or at
the Member Services Office.
Solos’ regular weekly Thirsty Thursday
is held Thursdays at The Oaks from 5:30-
7 p.m. We celebrate monthly birthdays,
enjoy potluck meals, and share in social
activities. Bring your beverage of choice,
a glass and let us welcome you to our
family of friends.

Let us carry you away to the tropical
sands and aquamarine waters of the
Caribbean, where life is good and the
party never ends! It’s “Margaritaville” on
Saturday, June 28 in the Social Center
Ballroom. Enjoy margaritas, a Jimmy
Buffet-inspired menu, and the musical
sounds of Bahama Billy & Renee. It won’t

We invite you to visit the Stained Glass
Studio to cool off and to check out the
wonderful assortment of stained glass
items we have for sale, including copper
foil, kiln-formed glass, mosaics and other
items. The Studio is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
weekdays. We will be happy to give you
a tour to explain how glasswork is done
and to look at projects in progress by the
artists.
