12 Angry Jurors
This courtroomdrama takes place in a hot,
stuffy, NewYork jury roomas 12 jurors de-
bate the fate of a young defendant charged
with murdering his father. Believing it is
an open and shut case, a vote is quickly
taken with 11 for guilty. A lone juror wants
to be convinced of the boy’s guilt or find
him innocent. The jurors’ personalities,
backgrounds, occupations, and prejudices
are revealed as evidence is debated. The
movie, directed by Sidney Lumet, was re-
leased in 1957 and is considered by many
as among the best films of all time.
This Sun City production is under the di-
rection of Darrel Meinke and runs June
10-14. Theater seating nights ($12) are
Wednesday and Thursday, and cabaret
nights ($14) are Tuesday, Friday and Sat-
urday. Tickets may be purchased online,
at the Member Services Office, or at the
door, if available. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.,
and the play begins at 7 p.m.
AcTAG offers quality shows, from well-
known classics to exciting newworks. Each
invites experienced and inexperienced
members to contribute in costume, light-
ing, sound, make up, acting, directing and
more. All are invited to join us!
