We invite all Sun City Texas residents to
come and enjoy the game of bocce. Bocce
balls for use by all residents are located
in a gray storage bin next to the shed.
Club members are normally playing on
the courts at 8 a.m. or 1 p.m., depend-
ing on the weather, and are available to
teach anyone interested in how to play
the game.
High Scorer:
Our high scorer for the
second consecutive month was Larry
Hunting, who scored a 5-point frame.
Congratulations!
Junior Camp:
The Bocce Club will be
hosting Junior Camp members again
this year. Many camp members have
played bocce with their grandparents
and are very good players.
Bocce & Italian Clubs:
Plans were
made in May for the Bocce Club to meet
and play bocce with the Hill Country
Bocce Club, the Austin Italian Club, and
the Sun City Italian Club. Lunch was
planned to follow the games along with
bocce accuracy contests.
League Play:
The winning team in the
recently completed Social League was
Kathy Perrine and Don Webb. The next
six-week bocce league starts on June 17,
and will be played on Tuesdays at 8 a.m.
You must be a member to play, so if you
join the club before June 17 you would
be eligible to play.

In our five-room studio, members cre-
ate long-lasting, 3-dimensional objects
for both practical use and visual beauty.
Equipment, tools, glazes, brushes and
clay are sold to members at cost, and dues
are just $12 annually. Member creations
are displayed in the windows of the club,
as well as on the website.
Visit our studio (behind the Fabric &
Fiber Club) and learn more. Monitors
will gladly guide you on a short tour and
tell you about upcoming classes.
Ceramics:
Existing forms, such as
plates, bowls, vases, animals, Christmas
trees, and Santa Clauses, can be painted
and glazed to your own design.
Hand Building:
For those who like to
sculpture from scratch, red or white, and
low- or high-fire clays are available. All
supplies are sold at cost to members!
When completed, objects are fired in one
of five resident kilns that are operated by
experienced members. Beginners’ classes
are held frequently.
Wheel Throwing:
Wheel throwing is
a unique skill. Six potter’s wheels are
available, and classes are held for both be-
ginning and more experienced members.
China Painting:
Create your own de-
