The Radio Control Modelers are now offering a new
activity: motor sports. In the photo, RC Modelers
navigate their road vehicles through an obstacle

Discovering Kathryn’s Roots
In April, the Genealogy Interest Group presented a program entitled, “Kathryn Bywaters—Who Do You Think You Are?” Members
Betty Jean Steinke and Bonnie Berg researched and presented on resident Kathryn Bywaters’ mother’s heritage. Joyce Wans
traced the merging of English, Swiss and German immigrants as early as the 1600s. Kathryn was shocked to discover that many
of her mother’s ancestors were named Doggett; she was married almost 49 years to Bill Doggett, and learned that he was her
eighth cousin. She is also a distant cousin of George Washington, Dwight Eisenhower, and local representative, Lloyd Doggett.
