Don’t miss out on the Sun City Singers
annual Christmas concert onWednesday,
December 4 and Thursday, December 5
at 7 p.m. in the Social Center Ballroom.
This event is always a sellout, so be sure to
purchase your tickets as soon as possible.
The concert, titled “Rejoice and BeMerry,”
is a joyous collection of traditional and con-
temporary holiday music. Tickets can be
purchased for $8 at the Member Services
Office or online at

Singers, please note that the rehearsal
on December 3, the night before the
first concert, will be at Cowan Creek.
Membership for 2014 for new Singers and
renewals is $10 payable online (credit card
only) and at the Member Services Office
beginning January 2, 2014
. You may
also join and pay (check only) at one of
the first two rehearsals, January 7 and
14, for the spring concert.
Mountain Dulcimer Players:
We are
busy preparing for our annual concert,
presented at the Sun City Worship Place
that benefits The Caring Place Food Pan-
try. The concert is scheduled for Sunday,
January 26 at 3 p.m. Although your canned
goods are welcome, The Caring Place can
do more good if you donate cash or checks
because they buy food in bulk quantities.
Practice is every Saturday from10 a.m. to
12 p.m. and every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
Free lessons are offered in January and

As one of the few spectator sports in Sun
City we invite you to watch, play and have
some fun…at beautiful Del Webb Field!
The Sun City Softball League is on win-
ter break; however, we still practice and
play pick up games every Tuesday and
Fridays at 10 a.m.
The spring season is just around the
corner―watch for more information on
the start date and the sign-up process.
Senior Coed Slow Pitch Softball is for all
ages and skill levels. We are a recreation-
al league, using senior rules, with over
130 members playing for fun and exercise.
Annual dues are $12, with an additional
$10 for each season. Once you sign up
you will be assigned a team.
We are proud to be part of the Sun City
Texas community. We support the Boys
& Girls Club of Georgetown, University
of Texas Longhorns Softball, Georgetown
Police Blue Santa Program, and our Sun
City Texas veterans through the Fort
Hood Officers Spouses Club, assisting
Fort Hood families.

The Solos Club is a family of friends who
enjoy a barbecue group, dining out, wine
tasting, bowling, golf, movies and lunch,
canasta, social bridge, mah jongg, pickle-
ball, tubing, dancing, book clubs, various
day trips, and giving back to the commu-
nity through Solos Care. If you want to
have fun, come join us!
The 2013 dues to join Solos are $10 for
newmembers, $20 for renewing members,
and may be paid at the Member Services
Office. You may start paying your 2014
dues on December 3 either online at the
Sun City Texas website or at the Member
Services Office.
Upcoming Social Events
December Quarterly Business Meet-
ing/Dinner:
Solos will celebrate “Holiday
Traditions” on Wednesday, December 18,
starting at 6 p.m. in the Social Center
Ballroomwhere the beginning social will
be followed by the business meeting, in-
stallation of 2014 Solos Officers, then our
Holiday Dinner.
Mopsie’s will cater a “Chef Carved - All
You Can Eat Buffet” of roast beef sirloin,
mushroom gravy, grilled bell peppers and
onions, roasted red buttered potatoes,
green beans, garden salad, dinner rolls
and apple cobbler a la mode with usual
beverages provided.
After dinner, the SoCoWomen’s Chorus of
Austinwill perform, followed by a wrapped
“White Elephant” gift exchange. There
will be music provided for your listening
and dancing pleasure.
In the spirit of gift giving, several door
prizes will be given out, so save your tick-
ets for the drawing.

Our next meeting will be our annual
holiday potluck on Tuesday, December
10, at The Oaks, starting at 5 p.m. We
will have a meet-and-greet with tasty
hors d’oeuvres followed by a potluck din-
ner. The sign-up sheet will be posted in
the studio. All members are welcome
to join us!
