High Rollers (those scoring a five-point
frame) for the month were Dian Webb
and Larry Hunting. Congratulations!
Bocce Club members and guests are
looking forward to the Club’s Christmas
party on December 3 at the Georgetown
Country Club.
Bocce Fact of the Month: One strategy
in the game of bocce is to hit the pallino
(the target ball) away from the opponent’s
bocce balls which are in scoring distance.
This is often done with a striking force
that may move the pallino in front of
the centerline or out of the court. What
happens then? The frame ends with nei-
ther team scoring. Play resumes from the
opposite end of the court with the same
team tossing the pallino.
