Mah Jongg is a fun and challenging
game played with Chinese tiles. The Sun
City Mah Jongg Club welcomes players
of all skill levels to have an entertaining
time. We have several tournaments and/
or parties each year. Come join us!

The purpose of this association is to pro-
mote good fellowship and sportsman-
ship among its members while playing
golf. Weekly tournaments are held each
Wednesday. You do not need great golfing
skills to become a member or to partici-
pate in any sponsored golfing event.

ning of the holiday season. As they visit
with friends, they can enjoy heavy hors

Winter holidays are busy for everyone,
and the Sun City Pet Club is no exception.
Our annual holiday party will be Sunday,
December 15 at the dog park from1-5 p.m.
Dogs welcome!
Coffee, hot cider and cook-
ies will be served for two-legged attendees;
doggie treats for our canine friends.
Meanwhile, the annual Toy &Treat Drive,
which benefits all three county animal cen-
ters, continues. A complete list of items
needed was printed in last month’s
Sun
Rays
. Bring any items to be donated to
our December 15 gathering.
Important 2014 dates for your Pet Club
calendar include new basic obedience and
therapy dog training classes that will re-
sume in January. Wednesday, January
22 will be our next club meeting. It will
start at 6:30 p.m. in the Activities Center
Atrium. Sorry―no dogs! 2014 dues of $12
per household will be collected before the
meeting.

The December meet-
ing will be Tuesday, December 3, start-
ing at 2 p.m. with cookies and conversa-
tion in the Georgetown/Florence Room
at the Cowan Creek Amenity Center.
Visitors are welcome. You will receive
a name tag indicating visitor or new
member and club members will welcome
you and share information. The meeting
agenda consists of general club informa-
tion, a program pertinent to photogra-
phy, and commentary on the Subject of
the Month photos, which are projected
for all to enjoy.
Photographs on Display:
Members’
photos are exhibited at the Activities
Center, Cowan Creek, The Oaks, Photo
Studio and website.

The calendar of events is posted weekly
and other items of interest as they occur.
Special Interest Groups:
Monthly SIG
meetings are held in the Photo Studio.
SIGs include In Camera Photography,
Photoshop Elements, Photoshop CS,
Lightroom, Nature, Competition and
Advanced.
Field Trips:
Monthly field trips offer
members great photographic opportu-
nities. Typically, there’s a brief session
prior to the field trip offering suggestions
about photographing the subject, and one
after the trip to share experiences and
participants’ photographs.
Membership:
You are welcome regard-
less of your level of expertise―casual
to advanced. Annual club dues are $16
and provide excellent training opportu-
nities. (Dues for 2014 may be pre-paid
in December.) You may join the club
through the Sun City Texas website,
at the monthly General Meeting or by
contacting a Board Member.
