Couples Golf Association Playday
The CGA held its second playday on October 12 at Legacy Hills. What started out as a serious threat of heavy rain turned into
a gorgeous, sunny day – perfect for golf! The newly-formed CGA is open to Sun City Texas couples of all skill levels who enjoy
casually competitive golf. Currently, playdays with varying formats occur every three weeks. The number of playdays is ex-

Yard of the Month
Lois and Patrick Gallagher

It’s fun to walk or drive by the Galla-
gher’s colorful yard, which is located
on one of Sun City’s oldest streets.
There is always something new and
eye-catching. Lois and Pat moved
to Sun City only three years ago and
they’ve made gradual improvements
to the yard. Lois considers gardening a
hobby and says she doesn’t work hard.
She adds a flower here and there and
enjoys watching them thrive. She tries
to select plants the deer won’t eat but
still must use netting for protection on
the ones that show signs of munch-
ing. Lois says, “Pick a little place in
your yard to plant something and just
watch it grow.”
