Trumpeter AlisonBalsam is the featured artist, the 2013Gramo-
phone Award winner performing pieces by JohannHummel and
Maurice Ravel. She has cemented an international reputation
as one of classical music’s great ambassadors and is ranked
among the most distinctive and ground-breaking musicians on
the international circuit.
Our evening begins at the Domain where you may dine on your
own at a restaurant of your choice. You will have a short walk to
restaurants such as North, Jasper’s, McCormick & Schmick’s,
Flemings, and Blackfinn. After a leisurely meal, we will go to
the Long Center in time for the always informative pre-concert
talk with Bob Buckalew.

Today’s history lesson is about the 43rd
President andMrs. Bush. Explore the interac-
tive galleries, sit in the Oval Office, enjoy the
gardens, scope out the jewels, shop themuseum
store and stroll through the 15-acre park with
native Texas grasses. The 14,000 square foot museum tells U.S.
history during an extraordinary time and includes exhibits on
education reform, the war on terror, financial crisis and decision
making. FreedomHall encases a 360-degree video wall provid-
ing visitor information. Lunch is on your own at Café 43 with
full service dining or the Courtyard Café for coffee and a snack.
Note: To enter the library, youmust pass through a secu-
rity checkwith ametal detector. All bags will be x-rayed
and searched.
On the way to Dallas, we will stop at Slovacek’s in West for
snacks and coffee; on the way home, we will make a stop inWaco.

and a hilarious show. Dinner begins with Pap-
padeaux’ famous salad. Entrée options (to be
selected when you purchase tickets): Ginger
Salmon, a char-grilled fillet; Pan Grilled Tila-
pia, toppedwith toasted hazelnuts; SeafoodMixedGrill with dirty
rice; ORRosemary Chicken. Dessert choices: VanillaCheesecake

After dinner, we will go to Esther’s Follies in downtown Austin
