Austin, home of Formula One racing in
America, is also home to K-1 Speed – America’s
premier indoor go-kart experience. Profession-
ally designed to ensure customer safety, theK-1
track provides heart-pounding, wheel-to-wheel
racing action up to 45 mph on one of the na-
tion’s largest indoor tracks. These world-class European-style
20hp electric karts will make racing your friends a thrilling,
unforgettable experience.
Following a 15-minute instruction session you will receive your
helmet and kart assignment. Each team will consist of eight
drivers for a 14-lap race. Winners are determined by the fastest
lap time adding a degree of difficulty and strategy to your rac-
ing. The top two racers in each group with have a “race-off’ to
determine the Champion. The top three drivers receive a podium
photo, medal, and K-1 racing score sheet. David Springer, our
first K-1 Champion, drove the winning lap in 24.354 seconds –
can you beat the champ?
After our racing adventure, we will stop at the IKEA Shopping
Center for lunch on your own.
