Prior to the musical, select the restaurant
of your choice at the Domain for dinner on
your own. There are many upscale, eclectic,
and vibrant choices such as Maggiano’s, The
Steeping Room, Urban Grill, Gloria’s, Guy
Fieri’s, and more.
After dinner we will head to the Bass Concert Hall to see
Dirty
Dancing
. The classic story on stage is an unprecedented live
experience, exploding with heart-pounding music, passionate
romance, and sensational dancing. This worldwide smash hit
tells the classic story of Baby and Johnny, two fiercely indepen-
dent young spirits from different worlds who come together in

Our evening begins with dinner at
Trio Restaurant at the Four SeasonsHotel. Din-
nermenu: mixed salad, famous pork chop, Texas
olive oil mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus,
and dessert. Soft drink, tax and tip included.
After dinner we will arrive at the Long Center in time for the
informative pre-concert talk.
AustinSymphonyOrchestra and guest pianist Kiyoshi Tamagawa
will performMozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major, one of
his most symphonic concerto movements. Also hear Mozart’s
Overture to
Cosi fan tutte
, opening with a slow introduction
leading into an effervescent presto. Repertoire also includes
Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 in CMajor, subtitled
Great
, a refer-
ence to the symphony’s majesty. Can you guess what is common
among all three pieces?
Kiyoshi Tamagawa, Professor of Music at SouthwesternUniver-
sity, has performed as a soloist and collaborative pianist through-
out North America, England and Asia.
