Sister Act
tells the hilarious story of wannabe divaDeloris Cartier,
whose life takes an unexpected turnwhen she witnesses a crime
and the police hide her in themost unlikely place—a convent. Un-
der the watchful and suspicious eyes of Mother Superior, Deloris
Cartier transforms the convent into a place of rejoicing as they
discover theirmusical voices and prepare for an important contest.
Before thematinee, we are headed to one of SanAntonio’s favorite
places, El Mercado, where you can shop ‘til you drop or sample
a variety of Mexican food, drinks and especially the desserts at
Mi Tierra. It’s fun to roam and see all of the Mexican wares for
sale, or sample a taco or two. On the way home, we will make a
quick stop at Bucee’s.
Ticket cost includes transportation and theatre ticket. Deadline

ers! Escape the heat! If you love to shop, then
BartonCreekMall inAustin is the destination
for you. More than 180 specialty retailers and
anchor stores, including Nordstrom, Dillard’s
and Macy’s, await you. If you prefer to skip shopping, you can
still escape the July heat and go to the AMC 14 Theater located
inside the mall to catch an early movie.
Ticket cost includes transportation only. Lunch, all purchases,
and movie tickets are on your own.

images of earth taken from the Apollo 8 space capsule. The social
forces that swirled through the turbulent 1960s crested in 1968,
a turning point for a generation coming of age and a nation at

Stories of South Texas. This exhibit blends artifacts, museum
technology and real-life stories tracing the history of SanAntonio
