Blues is anAfrican-Americanmusic that mixes
ranges of emotions andmusical styles. “Feeling
blue” is voiced in songs whose verses cry injus-
tice or express longing for something lost or
not attained. A blues performance is allowing
the listener and the performer the ability to overcome sadness
and lose the blues.
Master guitarist/vocalist WCClark—known as “The Godfather
of Austin Blues”—has been playing the blues right and cleansing
souls from the east side of Austin to stages around the world
for more than 40 years. Bring your own food and beverage and

Activities with Jenny
It’s that time again when Sun City
Texas hosts Junior Camp, our summer
day camp for the grandchildren of our
residents. Eighty campers ages 7-11
will be here for Session 1, June 17-20,
and a second group of 80 campers will
arrive for Session 2, June 24-27. Campers are exposed
to the lifestyle of Sun City Texas through the generous
donations of our chartered clubs’ time, our facilities and
our awesome volunteers! Our campers are introduced to
life in Sun City Texas through many activities, includ-
ing theatre, bocce ball, line dancing, nature, gardening,
golf, tennis, ceramics and everything in between. All
campers leave with the Sun City Texas experience, make
new friends fromall over the United States, and proudly
wear Junior Camp T-shirts stating, “Future Resident of
Sun City Texas!”
We appreciate your help and cooperation during this
time! Please take extra caution and watch out for groups
of campers who frequently cross Del Webb Boulevard
fromLegacy Hills Golf Course to the Legacy Hills Park
Pavilion. Also, please note that campers have afternoon
swim time at the outdoor Texas Drive Pool. (Approximate
swim times are noon to 3:30 p.m. on June 17-20 and
June 24-27.)
Note to New Residents:
Due to the popularity
of Junior Camp, we conduct a drawing in February to
determine who gets to attend. If you are new to Sun
City Texas and are interested for next year, please check
details in the
Sun Rays
beginning in November 2014.
