Immediately called 911 and made the man more comfortable.
EMS came very quickly and transported him to the hospital.
Notified the man’s wife of the situation; she went immediately
to the hospital; we then went back on patrol. COPs mission
accomplished!
3/14 - 8:30 p.m., Patrol #1
– Found an old, damaged, and dirty
Toyota Camry parked on Pedernales Falls near Salado Creek
and suspected that it may have been abandoned. This vehicle
had been noted in the same approximate location by several
COPs patrols for at least a month. The patrol team called the
Georgetown Police non-emergency number and reported the
vehicle. In about 30 minutes, the team saw a policeman driv-
ing to the site and met him there. He said that the vehicle was
a construction worker’s, but he had been keeping an eye on
it due to other complaints. It was not abandoned per the law,
as it had been regularly moved, albeit slightly. He marked
the vehicle’s tires and would check on it again in a few days.
3/17 - 7:20 a.m., Patrol #2
– Noted a Black Angus cow lying
down near the Lift Station service road. Called the ranch
manager to report the errant cow. Checked later and found
the cow was gone.
3/31 – 2:50 p.m., Patrol #1
– Resident stopped us and asked
what she could do about a neighbor who lets his dog run without
a leash and poop in her yard. Told her to contact Carl Zimmer-
man, CA Community Standards Director, or call the George-
town Police non-emergency number and make a complaint.
