Who is eligible to attend Junior Camp?
• Your camper must be between the ages of 7-11 years old at
the time of camp. No exceptions. The State of Texas licenses
us to serve only 7-11 year old children.
• Your household can only enroll up to two campers – no more.
•We are not able to accommodate children with special needs
because we are not licensed to do so.
• The number of children who can attend Junior Camp is
limited. See important details on the next page.
How do I sign up?
Because of the popularity of our Junior Camp and due to legal
limits regarding the number of campers, we hold an annual draw-
ing to determine the participants.
2014 Drawing: Thursday,
February 27, 10 a.m. in the Ballroom.
How does the drawing work?
Beginning Thursday, January 2
, you may register for
the drawing at the CA Monitors Station, 2 Texas Drive.
• Fill out a provided slip of paper to enter the drawing.
• Your household may enter up to two campers in the draw-
ing - no more.
•One slip of paper will allow for one grandchildOR two grand-
children to be entered in the drawing.
• You MUST select Session 1 OR Session 2 for each grand-
child – you cannot leave the session information blank.
Both grandchildren do not have to attend the same session.
• Camper name, grandparent name, phone number and email
is required to enter.
• No more than one slip can be filled out per household.
• Do not ‘stuff the box.’ If we draw your name twice, you will
be disqualified from the drawing.
• Drawing will be held Thursday, February 27, 10 a.m. in the
Ballroom. You do not have to be present at time of drawing.
• We will draw out the entire box of entries to ensure there
are no duplicate entries and also to create a wait list.
What are the details about the registration forms and

drawing, youmay pick up registration forms for your grand-
children that day.

Welcome Mary Hoverson and Cheryl
Jakubowski to our volunteer trip plan-
ning team! Each of our volunteer trip
leaders spends a minimum of twenty
hours planning each outing, providing
a variety of exciting and enjoyable bus
outings for Sun City Texas residents.
We have had questions about why some outings are not
listed in the
Sun Rays
. Sometimes we learn of an op-
portunity for a great outing without enough lead time for
Sun Rays
publication. When that happens, we still want
to offer the bus trip, so we advertise for those outings in
our E-blasts. Generally, those outings sell out prior to
the next
Sun Rays
publication, so youmay never actually
see them in print.
Remember that all outings are posted online in our Com-
munity Events Calendar. Since trips are no longer pub-
lished in the Sun Rays once they sell out, this is a good
referral tool if you happen to forget what you purchased!
PERK Cards!
Every time you travel on an outing planned by the Lifestyle Depart-
ment, you will receive a card to fill out and turn in at the Monitor’s
desk. We will draw a card monthly and
the lucky winner will receive 50% off
one future day-bus trip! We will notify
the winner via phone and email.
