Putters Café
As this
Sun Rays
goes to press, Putters Café will be preparing
to open its doors after a renovation of all the facilities related to
the restaurant, specifically the dining room, bar and restrooms.
When you enter, you will experience the beautiful new floors,
bright color scheme, new tabletops and comfortable chairs, new
booths and special lighting over the windows, thus opening the
room for you to enjoy the beauty of White Wing Golf Course.
As you pass the bar, you will notice it has a new look, with new
bar stools, inviting golfers to sit and share that great shot of the
day (or not)!
Adding room for both golfers and diners will be an extended
sunshade over the patio, complete with fans, heaters, televi-
sion, new furniture and a wait station for more efficient service.
With the patio upgrade, Putters offers golf tournament players
a place to gather for lunch or dinner after the tournament. The
expansion will also be a popular gathering place for all kinds of
Sun City Texas outdoor events. When entering the patio from
the restaurant, you will pass through enlarged doors, accom-
modating easier wait service. (Note: The patio renovation may
not be completed at the time of the opening of the restaurant).
What would a restaurant be without good food and service? The
new owners, Cecilla and Darren, are committed to providing a
full-service menu—breakfast, lunch and dinner. There will be
a new chef working on menu development, planning a menu
for all tastes, including some old favorites and some new items.
Cecilla is excited to get to know the diners and you will find her
greeting you, visiting your table and listening for your feedback.
Looking for a caterer? Putters Café is ready to serve these special
occasions. Also, you can look forward to pre-opening festivities
that will give residents an opportunity to view and experience
the new Putters Café.
The wait staff is committed to making your dining a pleasant
experience. In return, as customers, we must recognize that
the tips they receive supplement their salaries. We often hear
that Sun City Texas diners do not tip; let’s dispel that rumor
and even out our bill with that 20 percent tip that is the norm
in all dining institutions. Retaining good wait staff is essential
for any restaurant.
Putters Café is an important amenity for our community. While
a restaurant is a marketing tool for new buyers and sellers, it
adds value to our homes. In addition, it provides residents with
a place to dine, socialize and gather as a family. If you have not
previously frequented our restaurants, Putters Café is a must.
I look forward to seeing you there.
