Pickleball Club
Contact: Mike Lewis,
Membership in the Pickleball Club has
grown by roughly 50 percent over the
past year! That resulted in more court
space, graciously provided by our friends
at Pulte Homes! That also means lots of
new Pickleball players!
Not everyone is familiar with the game.
While Pickleball is a game that can be
easy to pick up, it requires more effort
to master.
The club has offered beginners classes
free of charge over the past year. We pro-
vide paddles and balls for these classes.
All you need to bring is workout clothes,
court shoes and a desire to learn the
game. Most people are hooked after one
class! Beginners’ classes will be offered,
at no charge in 2014, as well! There are
also courts reserved for beginner mem-
bers on Monday and Thursday from 11
a.m. to noon.
The huge increase in membership has
generated the need for additional train-
ing. One of our members is developing a
series of classes and clinics to help new
players expand their game and their en-
joyment. Like most life sports, Pickleball
is easy to start but offers enough chal-
lenges to provide many opportunities for
growth and learning.
These events will be open to Pickleball
Club members at a nominal fee. Contact
Richard Bradley (RLBradley1963@gmail.
com) to get information or schedule your
participation in a class! You won’t regret it!
The schedules for Beginners Classes and
Intermediate Events will be on the bulle-
tin board outside the courts as the classes
are scheduled.
