2014 promises to be another great year
for the Garden Club with informative
programs, interesting field trips and fun
social events. You don’t have to consider
yourself a “gardener” to join—if you have
a yard, you qualify! 2014 dues for new
and renewing members can be paid on-
line or bring a check for $12 (payable to
SCTXCA) to the February meeting.

We are now playing at the courts at 1
p.m. in the afternoons on Tuesday and
Thursdays.
Shuffleboard SIG
Sun City Texas has an active Shuffle-
board group; approximately 20 indi-
viduals belong to the Shuffleboard SIG
and 20 other residents also play at the
two courts (adjacent to Bocce Courts,
and next to Horseshoes and Washers).
The courts are open every day to resi-
dents. Although there is no league play,
members of the SIG and other residents
gather at the courts at 9 a.m. every Tues-
day and Thursday to play for one hour.
Shuffleboard is fun for individuals of all
ages and all physical abilities. It is easy
to learn and easy to play―an ideal out-
door activity to enjoy with friends and
neighbors. Newcomers are welcome to
join us any time. If you have not played in
the past and would like to be introduced
to the game at a time other than 9 a.m.
