Contact: Sue March,
Try out the fastest-growing sport
around - Pickleball!
Similar to ping pong, badminton and ten-
nis, pickleball is an active game that can
be played by anyone!
Played on a badminton-like court, pick-
leball players use wood paddles (instead
of racquets) to strike a perforated plastic
ball similar to a whiffle ball. We enjoy
the camaraderie and opportunity to stay
active and fit. There are pickleball facili-
ties in towns and resorts in every state.
Players call it the most addictive sport
ever! Be prepared for excitement, exercise,
laughter and new friends.
Pickleball is a great way to meet people
(especially if you are new to Sun City) and
play a game that accommodates a wide
variety of skill levels and ages. It is a fun,
easy sport to learn. At the Pickleball As-
sociation of Sun City Texas (PASCT), our
membership has grown to over 400. Come
give us a try and find out why so many are
enjoying the sport and joining our club.
We offer free introductory training
classes. All you need are court shoes
and workout gear. We provide the exper-
tise, the teachers, the paddles and balls.
You bring the fun! Contact our Train-
ing Coordinator, Richard Bradley, at
RLbradley1963©gmail.com to sign up!

New to Sun City? Looking for a fun hobby
that you never had time to pursue be-
fore? Airplanes, sailboats, helicopters,
quads, powerboats, cars and off-roaders
- we build them and we run them! Learn
how with a group just like you. We have
many members (men and women) new
to the hobby working alongside seasoned
hobbyists. We’re just over two years old
and we’ve grown to over 150 members.
We even have a computer-controlled
flight simulator if you don’t want to do
the “live stuff.” We “fly it” at the weekly
meetings. We also fly rotor craft, small
airplanes and run cars/off-road vehicles
in the ballroom one Sunday a month, and
we do other “fun stuff” at Berry Creek
Pond and our off-site flying place for the
gas and large airplanes.
November schedule:
Sunday, November 2, SCB:
10:30 a.m. Rotor Craft
12:30 p.m. Cars/Trucks
1:30 p.m. Fixed Winged Aircraft
Sunday, November 30:
1 p.m. Boating, Berry Creek Pond
Tuesdays and Saturdays:
10 a.m. Sailing, Berry Creek Pond
We fly small electric airplanes on the golf
course driving ranges onMondays when a
course is closed for play. We also fly every
evening at the White Wing driving range
30 minutes after the pro-shop is closed.
We need light wind conditions to fly, so
our flying usually takes place in the early
mornings or evenings. If you see us out
flying, stop by and say hello.
