No Limit tournament on September 9
with 25 members participating in the
event. Congratulations to Ron Evans
for winning the tournament with Susan
Euresti placing second and Jack Ger-
son placing third. Other winners: High

You know you are in for a treat as soon as you approach the Ziegler yard. It’s
easy to say, “Let’s keep going”, as you cross the front yard and view various
hues of color from flowers and greenery. Traversing the side yard on a series of
stepping stones placed just so, you pass a group of fruit trees that make you
wish you had time for a wee taste test. However, this garden keeps the best for
last. As you clear the rear corner of the home, you step into a garden oasis. A
series of raised beds essentially provides stadium seating for a sell-out crowd of
plants. The homeowners start many from seed and, depending on the season,
incorporate beauties such as roses, snapdragons, iris, pansies, plumeria and
zinnias, all encircling a large pond. Shoulder to shoulder, the plants literally
paint the back yard in a riot of breathtaking color. The pond adds the contrast
of tranquility with beautiful water lilies and fish looking for an in-between meal
snack. This garden makes you feel like you have escaped to a tropical isle without
ever leaving Texas! ~
