Our fall semester dog obedience classes
have been moving right along with Ruth
Olsen at the helm. Every time she does
the series of classes, she brings new infor-
mation as well as dog training products to
assist with your pet. November 15 will be
the final class for beginning, intermediate
and advanced lessons.
The snake aversion class will be held No-
vember 22 at the Legacy Hills Pavilion.
The program (you guessed it) is designed
to teach your dog to avoid certain danger-
ous reptiles. The class will focus on one
specific species of snake. For more infor-
mation, cost, time and how the process
works, please email the Pet Club.
No club meeting is scheduled for this
month.
The annual holiday toy and treat drive
begins the day after turkey day, Novem-
ber 28, continuing through December 20,
benefiting animal shelters in our area.
You do not have to own a pet to donate.
Drop your donation in the collection bin
at the dog park near the entrance to Sun
City off Texas 195. Wouldn’t it be great
if we had so many toys to donate that we
had to empty the bin several times for
those dogs and cats that need a forever
home? I have seen again and again how
generous Sun City can be for any and
all donations.
Training Tip:
Remember when giving
one of the seven teaching commands to
your dog, do not repeat the individual
command over and over if your pet does
not respond.
