New members
must sign up for Ori-
entation and Safety Training at the
woodshop.
The Woodworkers Club invites you to
stop by the woodshop and see the many
wood projects and craft items for sale.
We’d be happy to give you a guided tour
of our facility, talk about your idea for a
wood project, or just talk.
The Woodworkers Club is open to Sun
City Texas residents of all skill levels.
All new members are required to take
the Orientation and Safety Class, as well
as a one-on-one, hands-on Safety Train-
ing Session.
Our training classes and extensive li-
brary (paper and digital) help our mem-
bers plan projects and enjoy woodworking.
We have several main club projects we
do during the year, including: “Toys for
Tots,” to provide wooden toys for less
fortunate children at Christmas, and
“Camp Discovery,” to provide wooden
kit projects to a summer camp for chil-
dren fighting cancer. To raise funds for
these projects, we sell craft items at the
woodshop throughout the year, do Fur-
niture Repair at the woodshop and sell
craft items at the Annual Hill Country
Fall Craft Fair.

ZOE (Outside Events)

scheduling an Italian Trip, a Canadian
Rockies journey, a Fall Foliage Cruise, a
California Wine Country trip, a Rhine
River Castle cruise and many more excit-
ing adventures for 2015. Keep checking
your emails and our website for the most
up-to-date information.
ZIE (Inside Events – current mem-
bers only)
Zoomers’ December extravaganza, The
Gala, is a time to decorate both our
houses and ourselves as we glitter into
the holiday season. If you missed being
part of this dynamic club this year, you
might want to put it on your New Year’s
resolution list for 2015. ZIE is the Zoom-
ers branch that organizes our parties
inside Sun City and is the starting point
for Zoomers fun.

MIGHTY TRAILBLAZERS
Recently, 11 members of the Hiking Club spent four hours with brush loppers and
hand saws clearing a new nature trail to expand the existing trail system within
Twin Springs Preserve near Lake Georgetown. The project was sponsored by
Williamson County Parks Department and was part of National Public Lands Day.
The photo above features seven of the 11 Hiking Club volunteers.
