Zach Theater – Tour and Play – Austin
Dinner on Your Own
Wednesday, February 25, $102 pp
Depart SCPL 2 p.m.; Return 10:30 p.m.
Ticket Purchase Deadline: Monday, February 2
We are going to the Zach Theater – twice!
Our trip begins with a behind-the-scenes tour
at the Zach, one of the premier small theaters
in the state. The acoustics in this theater are
nothing short of fantastic, and we will get to
see how that’s accomplished, as well as many
of the other workings on the other side of the curtain. After the
tour, we will leave the area so that the actors can get ready for
the evening’s performance.
The Domain will be our stop for dinner on your own where you
may choose frommany restaurants. If there’s time left over, you
may browse the array of shops at The Domain.
Then we will go back to Zach’s to see
Peter and the Star Catcher
.
This is a five-time Tony award-winning play based on the book by
Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. Our outstanding seats in the
center orchestra section will give us a great vantage point from
which to see twelve actors portrayingmore than 100 characters.
This is the story of a young boy who never grew up – the boy we
later know as Peter Pan. Be prepared for ingenious stagecraft,
a hallmark of any Zach production, and the limitless possibilities
of imagination. What
Wicked
is to
The Wizard of Oz
,
Peter and
the Star Catcher
is to
Peter Pan
.
Ticket cost includes transportation, tour, and play.
