Travel Buddies
My daughter and I have become very
close since my husband’s death last year.
She has stepped in as my new travel bud-
dy so we can continue the travel that my
husband and I loved to do. We enjoyed
our latest trip to Italy and reminisced
about good times and memories before
our recent loss. Here’s to you, Warren...
we’ll never forget you.

Celebrating Love

In honor of Valentine’s Day, we here at
the Sun Rays decided to take a different
approach to the day of love. We reached
out to our community to find out how
we celebrate the loves in our lives, be it
pets, friends, family, spouses, grandkids,
etc. Here are some of the responses we
received.
Collecting Memories
E
very time my grandchildren and I are together, I take numerous
pictures of the entire visit—including taking pictures of their pets.
When they or I return home, I have the pictures developed and place
them in a 4x6” photo album. I write a story about the visit and be sure to
include the date, place and reason for the visit, if it is a special occasion,
such as one of their music or sporting events. Then, I send the photo album
to each grandchild with whom I visited.
My 10-year-old grandson said he now has 36 albums. He keeps them in
a special drawer in his room and frequently gets them out and arranges
them on the floor according to the date they were sent.
I think that each grandchild will have a history of our relationship, espe-
cially when I am gone.
