The VAC program on Wednesday, Octo-
ber 9 will feature Ann Garrard, master
teacher of Chinese Brush Painting. Ann
will give a short history of the medium
and a review of Eastern and Western
art.

are encouraged to attend our monthly

The Woodworkers Club is open to all Sun
City Texas residents of all skill levels.
All new members are required to take
an Orientation and Safety Class plus a
one-on-one hands-on Safety Training
Session. Our training classes and ex-
tensive library help our members enjoy
woodworking.
We have several main projects during the
year. “Toys for Tots,” to provide toys for
less fortunate children at Christmas, and
“Camp Discovery” to provide wooden kit
projects to an American Cancer Society
summer camp for children fighting can-
cer. To raise funds for these projects, we
participate in the annual Hill Country
Arts & Craft Fair.

Social Activities
Zoomers has very active social groups
that include those with an interest in
books, table games, bowling, movies,
dining out, cooking, and wine and beer
tasting. In addition, there is one group
that sponsors a luncheon with a speaker
focusing on Health, Beauty and Well-
ness.
ZOE (Outside Events)
Zoomers always has excursions planned;
we have exciting day trips planned this
fall, including the hit Broadway show
Memphis, an Irish Celtic Christmas con-
cert, and a Texas Tenors trip. Our ex-
tended trips include a Smokey Mountain
Holiday Tour in November, an Amaz-
ing Britain trip in May, a Boston and
Cape Cod trip in June, a New York City
and Bermuda Cruise in May, and an
American National Parks Trail trip in
August. We are currently awaiting con-
firmations for a 70th Anniversary trip
to Normandy in September. Our trips
are always posted online. Come join us!

An Evening with Leslie Blasing:

joy a fun night with musical guest Les-
lie Blasing on Monday, October 21 from
6-9 p.m. at Legacy Hills Park Pavilion.
