NOTES: There will be plenty of storage on the bus for
your purchases. This day is rated a Level 3 due to walking

Our destination is The Sunset Capital of
Texas, the one and only Oasis Restaurant on
Lake Travis. Relax in one of the comfortable
chairs on the third floor Starlight Terrace as
you dine and watch the sun go down. With
room for 2,500 people on multiple levels and open for 30 years,
the Oasis has a sunset menu for everyone.
There are two other great restaurant choices for your dining
pleasure as you enjoy the spectacular sunset at 6:45 p.m. One
is Gumbos specializing in Cajun food and the other is Oasis
Texas Brewing Company, owned by the son of one of our own
Sun Citians. The spectacular sunsets are viewed by people from
all over the world as well as locals. All three restaurants have
balcony seating overlooking not only the lake but also gorgeous
mansions along the cliffs. Truly, this is a night to remember.

Dining, shopping and nonstop laughter is
in store for this trip to Esther’s Follies! We will Jodi Katsafanas, Wednesday, Nov. 8
arrive at The Domain, home of Nordstrom,
Neiman Marcus, Dillard’s, Macy’s and
wonderful boutique shopping as a kickoff to the
holiday season! When you get hungry, choose from a variety of
eateries for happy hours, fine or casual dining and of course
dessert before boarding the bus for Esther’s Follies in Austin.
Dinner and shopping are on your own. Maps and restaurant
suggestions will be provided.
Esther’s Follies is a unique, fast paced mix of musical numbers,

comedy skits and magic that is sure to delight. Think Second
City meets Austin, TX! First-timers, you haven’t seen anything
until you go to Esther’s for an evening filled with hearty laughter
that is always the talk of the town. NOTE: Theater seating
is VERY tight and most seats are on risers.

Depart CCPL 2:30 p.m.; return 7:30 p.m.
Join us for our sixth
annual fall river cruise aboard The Commodore,
a genuine paddle-wheeler. Privately chartered
just for our Sun City group, you will find plenty
of room to kick back and enjoy the scenery as we sail past Mt.
Bonell, Laguna Gloria, and a bevy of beautiful homes. As we
make our way under the Pennybacker Bridge and the sun begins
to set, supper will be served buffet-style. Hula Hut’s menu
includes famous Shiner Bock marinated beef and chicken fajitas,
Spanish rice, refried beans, lettuce, pico, cheese, sour cream,
chips and salsa, soft drinks, coffee, and dessert from Hey Cupcake!
A cash bar will be open during the cruise. Lights twinkle on
and warm breezes whisper rollin’, rollin’, rollin’ on the river.
NOTE: Riverboat is not for the mobility impaired.

Prost! Raise your glass at Wurstfest,
a unique Texas German festival known as the
10 Day Salute to Sausage! Wurstfest is an
annual celebration rich in German culture, full
of Texas fun and located near the headwaters of the beautiful
Comal River in New Braunfels, Texas. Enjoy good German food
from wurst to strudel, live music, dancing, games and of course
German, Texan and domestic beer.
For the Wednesday evening outing, the music lineup includes
the Walburg Boys, Alex Meixner Band and the Seven Dutchmen
Orchestra. Wollen Sie tanzen? (Would you like to dance?)
