leisure throughout the days of play.
All of the events listed take place in
the Activities Center located at 1 Texas
Drive. All Sun City residents – new and
established – are welcome to join the club.
Dues for 2016 are $10 per resident and
that allows each member to participate in
as many of the games as he/she desires.
Texas Hold’em No Limit Tournament
The Poker Club will hold a $10 buy-in
Texas Hold’em No Limit tournament on
Tuesday, April 12. The tournament will
consist of no more than four tables with a
maximum of 40 players. A sign-up sheet
is posted on the bulletin board in Game
Room 3. You must place your name on
the sign-up sheet to reserve a seat for the
tournament.

Looking for a fun hobby that you never
had time to pursue? Did you get a drone
for Christmas? Welcome to the RC
Modelers. We build them and we run
them: airplanes, sailboats, helicopters,
quads, powerboats, cars and off-roaders.
Come and learn how to do it with a group
just like you…lots of members, men and
women, new to the hobby along with
some seasoned hobbyists who will show
you how. We’re over three years old and
we’ve grown to over 190 members. We
even have a computer-controlled flight

We fly small electric airplanes on
whichever golf driving range that is closed
on Mondays. We can fly every evening at
the White Wing driving range 30 minutes
after the pro-shop is closed. We operate
RC cars anytime at our car track. If you
see us out flying, driving cars or sailing,

The Self Defense Club’s primary goal is
to help our members develop awareness
of possible dangerous situations, how to
avoid them and how to escape or to defend
themselves if attacked. You will be taught
easy to learn self-protection techniques
that are very effective with a little training
and practice. No fighting, no martial arts.
• Club instructors are Sun City residents
with martial arts or other self-defense
training.
• Classes are held at the Cowan Creek
Amenity Center.
• Self-protection techniques are senior ori-
ented, easy to learn, remember and use.
• The techniques taught are tailored to
accommodate the physical limitations
of each individual.
