Back the Monarch to Texas Committee,
will present a program on the life cycle
of monarchs, their amazing migration
journey, the challenges facing their popu-
lation, and state efforts for restoration
of habitat.
Membership Dues for 2016 is $12 and

Oldies But Goodies Dance

The Oldies But Goodies Club is where the
“Young at Heart” dance to the music of
time and will learn more quickly. Set up
Sun City resident who enjoys dancing to
those Oldies but Goodies. We have five
dances a year which feature the classic
hits of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. Our four
remaining dances for 2016 will be on
Saturday, April 30; Saturday, July 16;
Saturday, Sept. 10 and Thursday, Nov. 3.
All dances will be held in the Social Center
Ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and
dances start at 7 p.m. Dues are $10 per
person. All dances are free to members.
BYOB and snacks. Ice and water will be
provided. Non-members and guests are
welcome to attend any event at $10 per
person payable at the door.

Spring dog training classes begin
Saturday, April 14 and run through
June 4. Beginner, Intermediate and
Advanced classes will be offered as well as
preparation for teams to take the Canine
Good Citizen and/or Pet Partners Therapy
Dog tests.
Reading Education Assistance Dog
(R.E.A.D.) class will be held for all
interested teams on Sunday, April 24.

on dog training or R.E.A.D. classes.
Snake Aversion training for dogs will
be held sometime in April or May. This
program is open to all dog owners. It will
train your dog to stay away from rattlers
and other poisonous snakes.
We will be co-sponsoring several pet
adoption events starting in April in
conjunction with the new pet store, Paw
Lofts, in Sun City.
Join fellow pet lovers for the Williamson
County Regional Animal Shelter’s “Woof,
Walk and Wrun” on Saturday, April 30, in
Berry Creek Park. For more information,

General Meeting: The April meeting will

p.m. for social time in the Georgetown/
Florence Rooms at CCAC. Visitors are

Photographs on Display: Members’
photos are exhibited at the Activities
Center, Cowan Creek Amenity Center,
Legacy Grille, the Photo Studio and the
club website.
Special Interest Groups: SIG meetings
are held in the Photography Studio.
Current SIGs are: Advanced, Competition,
Lightroom, Nature, Photoshop-CC-CS,
Photoshop Elements, PSA and PSA-Print,
Story Telling with Pictures.
Field Trips: Monthly field trips
offer members great photographic
opportunities. There is a brief session
prior to the field trip to discuss trip details
and logistics; another get-together takes
place after the trip to share experiences
and photographs taken.
Membership: The 2016 dues are payable
online and are $12 for the first member
and $5 for each additional family member
until June 30. You may join through the

Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun, active game that
combines the elements of tennis,
badminton and ping pong. Played on a
doubles’ badminton court with paddles
and a perforated plastic ball, all it requires
desire to play the game. Whether you
are new to pickleball or are a seasoned
veteran with tournament experience, we
have a level of play suited to your needs.
Our club offers a free introductory
training class for beginners. It provides
