HUNTING & FISHING CLUB MAKES SIX DONATIONS
On April 9, representatives from six local nonprofits gathered at the Cowan Creek Amenity Center to receive donation checks
from the Sun City Texas Hunting & Fishing Club. The organizations included: The Capitol Area Council Boy Scouts of America,
the Girl Scouts of Central Texas, the Ride On Center for Kids (R.O.C.K.), The Williamson Museum, Texas State Athletics, and the
Austin Fly Fishers SKIFF Program (or Soldiers’ Kids Involved in Fishing Fun). The club raises money through their annual Fish
Fry & Silent Auction—this year on May 10—to donate to area nonprofit organizations

“SWEDISH” TENNIS WINNERS
The Sun City Tennis Club held its sixth Annual Team Challenge tournament on April 11, 12 and 13, with a meet-and-greet social
on Thursday, April 10.
Six “countries” were represented: Australia, Sweden, Italy, France, Switzerland and Spain. Each team was made up of 13 play-
ers for a total of 78 participants. The winning team was Sweden (above) whose members consisted of Donna Duffy, Captain;
Caroline Willingham, Gene Gonin, Myrna Paulson, Lola Keck, Kay Linscott, Mary Ann Lish, Pat McMillan, Rich Lyle, Jim Fossum,
Harry Pizer, Tom Steck and Woody Hall.
Overall, everyone enjoyed good competitive tennis and the event ended with a lovely dinner on Sunday, April 13.
