HUNTING & FISHING CLUB RECEIVES STATE RECOGNITION
Dr. Marsha Farney, the Texas House Representative for District 20, honored the Sun City Texas Hunting and Fishing Club on
September 10 with an o¢cial state resolution for the club’s contributions to the community. In March, the club presented checks
totaling $5,500 to five area nonprofits, including Honor Flight, Girl Scouts of Central Texas, Texas Brigade, Ride On Center for
Kids, and Boy Scouts Capitol Area Council. The money was raised during the annual Fish Fry & Silent Auction, which supports
area nonprofits each year. The resolution states, “By supporting a range of worthwhile causes, the Sun City Hunting and Fishing
Club is enriching the civic life of Central Texas, and its members are to be commended for their commitment and generosity.”
