their health, and they approached that goal
with gusto. “We wanted our life back!” says
Mary, 62. “We started a regular exercise
regimen at the Fitness Center in January,
and in February we started the Lighten
Up for Life program. Since then, we’ve lost
over 90 pounds between us.”
Because John and Mary had neglected
their physical fitness over the years, they
also sought the guidance of a fitness profes-
sional to safely whip them into shape. That
duty went to Sun City personal trainer
Don Moore, who meets with husband and
wife separately once a week for 30 minutes
and also charts weight lifting routines for
them to follow independently. The couple
supplements those sessions with frequent
