Our next Texas story is the State Capitol beginning in the south
foyer with its impressive statues and a terrazzo floor depicting
the twelve battles fought on Texas soil. Our guide, well versed
in the history and lore of the Capitol, will take us through the
rotunda and dome, House and Senate chambers, Governor’s
public reception room, and the Supreme Court.

The Governor’s Mansion, built by famed architect Abner Cook, is
our final tour. This gracious home has survived the boot prints
of many a generation and given us a wealth of colorful stories
and priceless memories. Come hear the stories – stories as big
as The Lone Star State.

NOTE: If the Governor is in residence and we cannot
tour the mansion, we will tour the Neil-Cochran House.
Ticket cost includes mini-coach transportation, all tour and
entrance fees.
