The 2015MGABoard of Directors recent-
ly completed a planning session preparing
for many exciting tournaments, events,
play days and socials in 2015.
As you can see, 2014 was a very success-
ful year:
• Membership grew 15 percent to 653
members.
•MGA coordinated a total of 124 events,
including play days, lunches and din-
ners, match play competition, and five
major tournaments.
• Over 5,000 play day rounds of golf
were played by MGA members.
•Upwards of 500MGAmembers earned
golf shop sweeps in the various events.
• Over 2,200 rounds of golf were played
during the five major tournaments.
The Board of Directors plans to continue
offering a wide variety of MGA golfing
opportunities andworking toward further
improvements in slow play challenges.
The Board also intends to continue part-
nering with theWGA 9-Hole and 18-Hole
clubs, and to provide overall support of
the Sun City golfing experience. As a final
comment, the MGA would not have been
successful in 2014 without the outstand-
ing support given by the Sun City Golf
Staff and the many sponsors backing the
MGA. Here’s wishing you all a fun and
enjoyable 2015 golfing year!

Vette club welcomes vets
The Sun City Corvette Club organized
a cruise in honor of veterans on Vet-
erans Day. The group parked off the
shoulder on Sun City Blvd. across
from the entrance to the Veterans
Memorial. Club members Janice and
Regis Hallisey made a club banner to
display for all to see. All the members
attended the ceremony at the Veter-
ans Memorial, then convoyed to the
Salt Lick Restaurant in Round Rock
for lunch.
