Cowan Creek Golf Shop expansion brings more merchandise, better service

The Cowan Creek Golf Shop received
a much needed expansion in July.
The project took just under two
months with the help of David Hahn and
his staff along with Russell Glass. They
did a fantastic job in doubling the square
footage of the existing golf shop. Out of
the three golf shops, the Legacy Hills Golf
Shop has accounted for over 50 percent of
all merchandise sales in previous years.
In an effort to capture a portion of this
percentage and increase overall sales,
it was necessary to enlarge the Cowan
Creek Golf Shop. The expansion allowed
us to accomplish a number of things such
as alleviate traffic in the hallway, create
synergy with the fitness operations and
improve the overall atmosphere. The new
shop is more inviting, functional and
beneficial to the community.

The financial support of our 600 club
members and the local area businesses
that sponsor the MGA is the lifeblood
which allows the MGA to carry out its
activities, including its 124 yearly events.
All of the contact between the MGA and
our sponsors is coordinated through a
superb MGA sponsorship committee.
As an example of the benefits to our
members resulting from the sponsorships,
one of our major tournaments provides
a minimum guarantee of $50 pro shop
sweeps, tee gifts, opportunities to win

to carry lines for both men and women
and exclusively at the Cowan Creek Golf
Shop we now offer fitness apparel. We
would love input from the community
regarding desired brands or styles of
fitness attire and accessories you would
like to have available. We are very excited
at the opportunity to better serve the golf All three courses are set up with a combo
community and the community at large.
Let’s not forget, all men and women look
amazing in golf attire whether they play
more sweeps during the tournament, door
prizes, a fancy dinner and more—all for
an entry fee of $75.
Some of our MGA sponsors have been
with us for nearly 20 years. Our objective
is to work with, highlight, recommend
and consider the needs of our sponsors.
This is done through signs on the golf
courses during major tournaments, at
luncheons and dinners and with emails
to MGA members. Many of the benefits
of being an MGA member are due to our
high-quality sponsors.
