Watch your mailbox for the NEW CA NEWS
2016-2017 Directory
JUNE 2016 SUNRAYS | 9
Submitted by Krystal Wilson, Director of Communications
New this year, the 2016-2017 edition
of your Sun City Texas Resource
Guide and Directory will be deliv-
ered to your mailbox in June! As
always, your privacy is important
to us which is why each copy will
be individually addressed to you
and packaged in plastic to protect
it during transit. Additionally, we
listened to your feedback about the
size and weight of the directory and
your NEW book will sport a slightly
smaller and compact format which is lighter and easier to hold.
As always, your official Sun City Texas Resource Guide and
Directory is full of helpful resources including:
– CA information and frequently asked questions,
– Contact information for your City, County, emergency and
utility providers,
– Maps and the most up-to-date contact information for
your neighbors.
The book also includes a business directory full of local busi-
nesses who have invested in your community and look forward
to working with you. Please consider our advertisers the next
time you are searching for a service provider or a product in
our area.
What do I do with my old Directory?
The CA will still be accepting your past year’s Directory and
we will securely shred it to protect your privacy. We will have
a drop-off location for these beginning in June. Please watch
your CA Communicator for more details on the location.
For questions about the Directory, please contact the Com-
munications office.
Say “thanks” to the troops
Thursday, June 2, 11 a.m., White Wing
Sun City Texas is honored to host the biannual Thanks to
the Troops Vet-Am Golf Tournament at the White Wing Golf
Course on Thursday, June 2. Organized by resident Anne
Henry, this event invites 108 Fort Hood soldiers, most of whom
are new to the game of golf, to enjoy a fun-filled day, followed
by dinner, entertainment, raffles and cash prizes.
Soldiers are provided with transportation to and from the event.
As they arrive, Sun City Texas residents line Sun City Boulevard
from the Highway 195 entrance all the way to White Wing Golf
Course, waving at the buses of soldiers as they pass. Once the
buses reach White Wing Golf Course, they are met with even
more residents waving their flags and eager to shake these
young soldiers’ hands.
Buses are scheduled to arrive at White Wing at 11 a.m., so
come on out and say “thanks” to the troops!
