the ballroom. Dances on June 6, 13 and 20
will be at Cowan Creek Georgetown and
Florence Rooms. There will be no dance
on June 27.

6 and 13. Workshop on June 20 will be
Plus Level.

26 in the Atrium.

Due to renovation of Cowan Creek, regu-
lar club days/hours are now restricted
to Saturday and Sunday. Play on other
days and times continues to be an option
if the Salado Room has not been sched-
uled for use by another group (check with
the Cowan Creek monitor or the website).
Balls and tables are in the closet of the
Salado Room and paddles are in the cab-
inet. Please sign the log-in book on the
counter whenever you play. Family and
friends of CA members are welcome dur-
ing non-club hours.
Table Tennis is a sport which can be
played at the beginner level (ping-pong)
or at the Olympic level—playing exercises
both your brain and body and puts a smile
on your face. There is a ladies group, a
men’s group, mixed play and singles and
doubles. There is a yearly social/new mem-
ber meeting, four Board meetings per year
and an annual membership meeting. The
club also offers members beginner and
intermediate clinics and use of a robot for
practice at no additional cost! A few weeks
ago, four women and four men from the
Sun City table tennis club participated in
ONLINE: SCTEXAS.ORG
the Del Webb Golf and Sports Challenge
in Sweetwater. This summer, the club
will host children interested in learning
the basics of table tennis during Sun City
Junior Camp. Yearly dues are $10 per
person. We invite you to become a member
of the Sun City Table Tennis Club.

Tennis at Sun City is for all playing sched-
ules and all skill levels. Whether you’re
just restarting tennis or an active USTA
player, join in and let’s play some tennis!
To reserve a court with your friends, come
to the ball draw at 5 p.m. two days in ad-
vance of your desired play date, or just
show up and play on any available court.
For even more fun, join us and take part
in some of our many other activities.
Try Open Tennis, which features doubles
with no partners, no levels and a friendly
coordinator to get you started. Play Monday
and Wednesday evenings or Friday morn-
ings at times posted on the court schedule
on the bulletin board between Courts 2 and
talented and entertaining instructor in
Use the Tennis Game Finder. Locate other
like-minded (similar skills, schedules, etc.)
tennis players. Sign up cards are on the
bulletin board.
Join the Sun City Texas Tennis Asso-
ciation (SCTTA) and participate in our
leagues (we offer Women’s, Men’s and
Mixed doubles leagues), tournaments (we
sponsor two weekend tournaments each
year), tennis socials and various other
activities.

in person to the Member Services Office
located in the Community Association

Visual Arts

Any resident of Sun City is encouraged to
join the VAC and explore the possibilities
of artistic talent. Classes are offered in
the Studio as well as days set aside for
painting.
The Visual Arts Club will celebrate its
many years in Sun City at our annual
Summer Show Reception on June 5,
2-5 p.m. at the Activities Center at 1
Texas Drive. The show features the
work of early and current members, a
memorabilia display, demonstrations
and refreshments. The show is free and
artwork will be on display until July 22.
Other VAC exhibits in the area are at
the Social Center, Cowan Creek, Legacy
Grille, the VAC Studio in Sun City and at
the Wildfire Restaurant in Georgetown.
General meetings consist of a short
business meeting followed by a
demonstration by an artist. June’s demo
will be given by Garland Anderson, a
both drawing and watercolor. Garland
has classes scheduled in June and July.
June also includes our participation in
Junior Summer Camp. VAC volunteers
will host the 9-10 year old Wranglers as
they work with acrylics on canvas board
to create works of art to take home.
Classes are offered throughout the year
providing instruction in multiple media
and on multiple levels. Class offerings
can be found on the website and signup

Women’s Golf Association
9-Hole

The WGA 9-Holers tee off on Tuesdays,
alternating weekly play among all three
Sun City golf courses. In addition, golfers
are encouraged to attend our monthly
general meetings which are held on the
second Tuesday of each month.
