Hats off to our volunteers!
Are you aware of our Volunteer Event
Teams here in Sun City? We have
many dedicated residents who help
your CA event experiences operate
smoothly.
Meet our Hospitality Volunteers, who
serve at CA dances, movies and some
performances. You may think they are just sitting back
enjoying the event themselves, but they are busy work-
ing behind the scenes. Depending on the event, they sell
soft drink set-ups, refill water pitchers and ice buckets,
and help distribute popcorn. They arrive early to set
each table with complimentary water and ice, and they
stay late to clean up the pitchers and buckets. (You can
help out by returning these items to the hospitality table
before you leave. We also ask you to clear your tables of
all trash.) The next time you visit the hospitality table,
take a minute to meet these smiling faces and thank
them for a job well done!
Another CA Event Team is comprised of our Ticket Tak-
ing volunteers. Depending on the size of the event, each
ticket taking experience is a bit unique, and these capable
team members are able to quickly adapt to the particular
event’s procedures and needs. They wear several hats as
they cheerfully greet you, collect your tickets, and sell
tickets at the door all at the same time! They arrive
before doors open to prepare for their role and help out
with large event line control and last minute details.
This is another group due ‘pats on the back’ for their
contributions to the success of our CA events!

Garage Sale

Is it time to get rid of things you no longer need
or use? Do you have things cluttering your
home and garage?
Twice a year the Sun City Texas Community
Association and Sun City Kiwanis host a public
garage sale. The Garage Sale is a great event for shopping, buying
and selling household items. All Garage Sale spaces are the size
of a parking space. Select and purchase your space online or at
the Member Services Office.

• All spaces are $45 and include a table.
• Set-up time for booths is Friday, April 1, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
• No setup or vehicle traffic in booth area on Saturday morning.
• Security officers will be onsite to patrol the sale area from 3
p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday; however, the safety and security
of your sale items cannot be guaranteed.
• It is advisable to cover all items due to weather hazard.
• ONLY ONE RAIN DATE: Saturday, April 9
NO EARLY SALES! Garage Sale set-up time is on Friday,
April 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Garage Sale is open for
shoppers on Saturday, April 2 from 8 a.m. to noon. We will
not allow any set up on Saturday morning and no items
will be sold prior to 8 a.m. Saturday, April 2. These rules
were designed with safety in mind for all participants and
the rules will be enforced.

spectacular and rugged countryside from Georgia to Maine. The
peace and tranquility he hopes to find, though, is anything but,
once he agrees to be accompanied by the only person he can find
willing to join him on the trek - his long lost and former friend
Katz, a down-on-his-luck serial philanderer who, after a lifetime
of relying on his charm and wits to keep one step ahead of the
law – sees the trip as a way to sneak out of paying some debts
and sneak into one last adventure before it’s too late.

The Sun City Singers will celebrate the beauty
of spring with a lyrical concert that ranges from
swing music to Broadway favorites to melodious
spirituals during its first concert of the year.
New Director Georgia Parmelee has selected
a mix of music that will have you tapping your feet and dabbing
tears from your eyes. The Singers include Broadway hits from
Rodgers and Hammerstein like “Younger Than Springtime”
to Louie Prima’s “Sing, Sing, Sing,” to a classic rendition of
“Shenandoah,” to a powerful version of “Home on the Range.” The
music is fun, interactive and guaranteed to have the audience
humming on the way home.
