Dr. Couey was educated at Baylor (BA), Sam Houston State
(MA) and Texas A&M (PhD). He specialized in Human Physi-

venues around the world. He was a member of the Presidents
Commission on Physical Fitness and Sports and served as a
Physiology Consultant for the US Olympic Team.
