painting. Monitors will guide you on a
short tour and tell you about upcoming
classes. Enjoy fun and companionship in
a friendly atmosphere.
Ceramics: Existing forms like plates,
bowls, vases, animals and Christmas
items can be painted and glazed to your
own design.
Hand Building: Those who like to
sculpture from scratch, red or white,
and low- or high-fire clays are available.
Completed objects are fired in one of five Discussion SIG: Members only. Friday,
kilns operated by members. Beginners’
classes are held frequently.
Wheel Throwing: Wheel throwing is
a unique skill. Six potter’s wheels are
available. Classes are held for beginning
and experienced members.
China Painting: Create your own
designs on china. One room and one kiln
are designated for painted china objects.

for membership vote. Topics may cover
international, national, state and local
issues.
Research: Volunteers serve on the
Research Committee and prepare the
background information sheet. Members
are encouraged to contribute to the club’s
message board.
Dues: 2017 dues are $6. Please purchase
your membership on the Sun City Texas
website or at the Member Services Office.
Sept. 8. Members participate in less
formal, small group discussion(s) about
topics affecting the world, nation, Texas,
Georgetown and/or Sun City Texas.
Members start arriving at 9 a.m. to
suggest topics.
