Are you a friend, relative, or neighbor to someone with a diagnosis
of dementia? Are you interested in volunteering with or simply
supporting a family that is dealing with dementia? Come hear
about research-based approaches, simple strategies, and a wealth
of ideas for providing social support and being a better friend to
those who live with the challenges of a dementia diagnosis. We
will provide a basic overview of Alzheimer’s disease and other
dementias, before proceeding to some practical strategies for com-
munication and engagement.
