Try Open Tennis, which features doubles
with no partners, no levels and a friendly
coordinator to get you started. Play Monday
and Wednesday evenings or Friday morn-
ings at times posted on the court schedule
on the bulletin board between Courts 2 and
3. Just show up and have fun!
Use the Tennis Game Finder. Locate other
like-minded (similar skills, schedules, etc.) At the November meeting, a demo will be
tennis players. Sign-up cards are on the
bulletin board.
Join the Sun City Texas Tennis Asso-
ciation (SCTTA) and participate in our
leagues (we offer Women’s, Men’s and
Mixed doubles leagues), tournaments (we
sponsor two weekend tournaments each
year), tennis socials and various other
activities.

in person to the Member Services Office
located in the Community Association

Membership in the Visual Arts Club
consists of men and women of varying
levels of experience in art - both beginners
and professionals are welcomed. Classes
are offered throughout the year in
multiple mediums and for all levels of
experience. Classes are on Wednesdays,
Thursdays and Fridays; schedules can
be found on the VAC website. Sign-up for
classes is to be done online through the
Sun City Texas website.
Mondays, Tuesdays and portions of each
weekend are reserved for painting in the
studio. Opportunities are also offered by
the SIGs. The SIG schedule is on the VAC
website.

alternating weekly play among all three

are encouraged to attend our monthly
general meetings which are held on the

WHO welcomes all residents. We are a
sharing and serving the extended com-
munity. Our mission is to support exist-
ing charitable organizations with time,
donations and assistance while fostering
camaraderie, fellowship and inclusion.
And yes, men are welcome, too.
We meet the fourth Monday of the month.
The agenda includes a salad luncheon and
a presentation from a nonprofit or pub-
lic service organization, followed by our
business meeting. The members bring the
salads and make an optional $10 donation
at each meeting. Annual dues are $10 and
may be paid online or at the monthly meet-
ing. Guests and prospective members are
welcome to join us. Just let us know you
are coming so that we may welcome you.
Our speaker for November is Marissa Aus-
tin, executive director of Court Appointed
Special Advocates (CASA) of Williamson
County, Texas. This organization provides
valuable volunteer advocacy for abused
children in Williamson County.
