Auditions for 2017 Follies
“European Escapade” - NEW!

Friday, June 24, 1 – 3:30 p.m., CCF
Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. – noon, ACA

Announcing the Actors and Theater Arts Guild
Follies for 2017, “European Escapade.” Come
join us for a fun romp through eight European
countries with music, dance and comedy.

Auditions will be held Friday, June 24, from
1-3:30 p.m. in the Cowan Creek Georgetown Florence Room and
Saturday, June 25, from 9 a.m. - noon in the Activities Center
Atrium. For listed audition suggestions and materials contact

We have a few openings for folks interested in costuming,
choreography, set design and construction, lights, sound,
wrangling, and back stage. Actors Guild members will have
first priority, but all are welcome. Openings are available for a
person or persons who play bagpipes and also someone who plays
flamenco guitar. All participants must live in Sun City. If you
would like to work with The ACTAG Follies “dream team” for

Sun City Singers
Independence Day Concert

Friday, July 1, 11 a.m., SCB, $8 pp

Tickets are now on sale for the Sun City
Singers’ celebration of America’s birthday,
a patriotic concert at 11 a.m. Friday, July
1 in the ballroom. The Singers, under the
direction of Georgia Parmelee, will honor our
nation’s history with a selection of songs including traditional
patriotic songs like America, the Beautiful, The Battle Hymn of
the Republic, and the Star-Spangled Banner. Along with these
solemn songs, the choir will include a George M. Cohan collection
that includes Yankee Doodle Boy, Give my Regards to Broadway
and You’re a Grand Old Flag.

The choir also will offer a salute to our Armed Forces, Texas
and the powerful spirit of our nation. Unlike our spring and
Christmas concerts, there will be only one performance of this
musical fanfare, so get your tickets early – and come celebrate
our country’s birthday with the Sun City Singers.
