Sunday, August 31 - WGA-9member Mary
Tupacz made a hole-in-one on the 113 yard
Legacy Hills #4 using her 8 iron. Witness
were her husband, Ken Tupacz, along
with Les Collier and Cindy Wilkinson.
Congratulations, Mary!
Our Club Champion has earned her place!
Sylvia Quillen finished the two-day Club
Championship Tournament with a gross
score of 98, thus claiming the title. In ad-
dition to the Club Champion, each flight
had a lowgross and a lownet winner. First
Flight low gross was awarded to Kathy
Brandewie with a score of 102; low net

was 70. Flight Two low gross forerunner
was Emily Eldridge, who ended with a
109. Low net recognition went to Norma
Richardson for her net of 75. Mary Tupacz
scored low gross with a 114 in the Third

low net with a record of 73. Flight Four
honors for lowgross went to Geri Dauskur-
das, who scored a 116, and Judi Mitten,
who earned low net with an end result
of 73.
The nominating committee of Cindy
Lane, Rae Gill, Linda Reinhardt, Edie
Williams and April Pope (chair) worked
diligently to secure capable candidates
to fill the five elected officer positions on
the WGA-9 Board. A new process was
put into place this year which included
an interview of each nominee, providing a
list of expectations for each position and a
requirement that each nominee complete
a form indicating their qualifications for
the sought position.
The WGA-9 By-Laws Committee spent
many hours making revisions and
amending the current document. Club
members were given an opportunity to
review the document and provide input
prior to the October general meeting
when the final version was presented to
the membership for acceptance.
Our membership stands at 177 fabulous,
fun, fantastic ladies. We are so thankful
for all the friendships which have
developed within the WGA-9!
