In May, a coffee social was held to wel-
come all of our newmembers. This event
was a really nice way for our new mem-
bers to meet our officers and committee
chairwomen.
The President’s Cup tournament was
held in May at Legacy Hills and Cowan
Creek. A social followed play in the Cow-
an Creek Florence/Georgetown rooms;
a good time was had by all attendees.
Our next general meeting will be after
play on September 2 at The Oaks. Our
remaining general meeting for 2014 will
be on November 4. The meetings will
immediately follow play on Tuesdays.
Eclectic Tournament
The 2014 Eclectic Tournament was on
April 7-8 at Cowan Creek. It was a chilly
and windy couple of days, but we had a
good tournament.
Congratulations to our winners:

Our spring tournaments, the
Spring Member/Member and the
President’s Cup, are now behind
us. We enjoyed two very success-
ful tournaments. I would like to
personally congratulate all of the
winners.
Remember, all of our tournaments
benefit from the support of our
sponsors. These businesses help us
keep our entry fees lower, provide
you with better meals, returnmore
of your entry fees as sweeps pay-
outs and purchase better tee gifts.
Please make sure to support our
sponsors by awarding them your
business whenever possible.
Our next event will be a one-day,
Red Ball mini-tournament in con-
junction with our July 2 quarterly
meeting/luncheon. Remember, you
must sign up individually for each
event—the Red Ball tournament
as well as the quarterly meeting.
As the summer heat increases,
remember that our Wednesday
playdays are the perfect way to
guarantee an early tee time once
a week.
Hit ’emquick. Everyone behind you
will enjoy the game more.
18-holers. The clinics are on Tuesdays
at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Information about
these clinics is available on our web page.
