Waterfowl Specialities Inc., started in 1984, offers duck, goose, dove and sandhill crane hunting in the Texas Rice Belt near El Campo, Tx. El Campo is 165 miles southeast of Sun City. Two nights, 3 days. Directions: Sun City to El Campo, Tx. We'll set up car pools. Lodging: A country lodge 7 miles from El Campo that has two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, dining and living room. Minimum is 6 hunters. Lodging with Meals: $185 per night. Includes 6 meals. Guided Goose Hunt: $275 per day and you help with decoy placement. Tips: Bring cash for guides, cook and bird cleaning. The Hunt: Goose hunts take place in rice, wheat and plowed fields in the mornings only. They use large windsock spreads and hunters are situated in "popup" blinds. These blinds are 3 or 4 folding panels about 60 inches tall with window panels to view through. Back is open and hunters sit on stools.
