Maximum Registration is 12 participants

Recommended Suitability:   Beginner to intermediate or above.  Knowing how to wait and set the hook is key to landing big fish.  Guides provide fishing equipment, casting, baiting, and catch landing.  Accommodations provide a separate restroom for each room of ladies or men.  While there are no restroom facilities on the boats, guides have been accommodating to the needs of both men and women. 

Time:  We will drive to the Lodge on Monday, March 25th, arriving around 5PM, for an arrival night dinner and social time.  We will have a choice of 1 or 2 nights on this trip.  People fishing for one day shall fish on Tuesday, March 26th.  People staying for the second day of fishing shall also fish on Wednesday, March 27th.  The people fishing for 2 days will be leaving the Lodge the afternoon of the 3rd.  

Location:    Castaway Lodge, 109 W. Austin, Seadrift, TX

Cost:

Party of 3 or 4 per boat,  $400 per person/per day. We must have a minimum of 3 per boat.

NEW OPTION:  If 4 registrants are interested, an additional $25 each will secure the airboat for a day.

A guide tip of $25 per person per day is customary. Tipping is also highly encouraged for the meal and housekeeping staff.

There will be hotel taxes that need to be paid onsite and is the responsibility of each person
Payment Method: A payment deposit of $200 per person/per day with checks made payable to Castaway Lodge.  Once on site, each person will pay their own balances directly to Castaway Lodge.

Castaway accepts cash, check or credit card for final balance due at check out.
Tips for housekeeping and kitchen can be added to your final bill.
Tips for guides are separate and should be paid in cash directly to your guide.

Deposit Payment cut off date is Friday, February 23, 2024. Drop your check(s) in the box on the front porch of 100 Blue Sky Ct. On the envelope with your check, note the number of days and the names of the individuals.

No refunds, as all deposit funds are sent to Castaway Lodge.  However, we will create and maintain a waitlist on the website up to within a couple days of the trip to help a member sell their slot to another member if the need arises.  Please keep the Coordinator informed in such a situation so the lodge can be kept aware of changes.

LADIES!! We would like to create a LADIES BOAT for 3-4 of you! To do that, we need you to register for this trip and make the deposit as soon as possible to make this happen.  That will leave 6-8 slots for the other two boats. Overall Registration is limited to a maximum of 12.

  If you are registering others, select "RGC member" or "resident" in the "add to party" dropdown and then start typing their last name.  Click on their name when it appears.  Be sure to click on "Save Registration".  Once your check has been received, your registration will be changed to "confirmed".  It is HIGHLY suggested that payment be submitted at the same time as registration to ensure your slot(s).

Things to bring:

  • Ice chest with all drinks, including bottled water & boat drinks
  • Fishing license
  • Sunscreen
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Snacks for in between meals
  • Rain gear is suggested in case of sudden precipitation
