The Blanton houses more than 21,000 objects from Italian Renaissance to contemporary American paintings and prints. Our self-guided tour also includes Ellsworth Kelly's Austin, a 2,715 square-foot stone building with luminous colored glass windows, a totemic wood sculpture and fourteen black and white marble panels, envisioned as a site for joy and contemplation. Lunch on your own will be in downtown Austin, followed by a visit to the Ao5 Gallery at the Arboretum. See "walls that inspire", The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss, and if time allows, visit Austin's favorite ice cream gallery, Amy's Ice Cream, home to that famous flavor Mexican Vanilla.
